Hydriya tests, fits and services water filters across the UAE. Most filter sellers start at the filter. We start at your building, because the stretch after the DEWA meter, meaning the tank, pipes and water heater, is the part most filter ads skip and it shapes what reaches your glass.

Ask any water-filter company, including us, to show the trade licence and read the activity line on it. Licences are issued by the licensing authority of the emirate where the company is registered, so the issuing body will differ between Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
The gap we work in
Dubai’s drinking water is mainly desalinated seawater, treated and delivered by DEWA. DEWA’s responsibility ends at your building’s meter. After that the water passes through the building’s tanks, booster pumps and internal pipework, and then your own water heater. Dubai Municipality’s guideline DM-HSD-GU17-DW2 (25 September 2024) puts responsibility for that stretch on the building owner or their representative.
That is the gap Hydriya works in. A filter on your kitchen tap can improve taste and take out chlorine, but it cannot tell you whether the tank upstairs was cleaned this year. So before we recommend anything we ask when the tank was last cleaned, who holds the report, and what your water actually measures.
What the guideline asks of buildings
- Tanks emptied, cleaned and disinfected at least twice a year.
- Tanks inspected at least monthly.
- Drinking water lab-tested every six months to UAE.S GSO 149:2021 by an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited lab.
- Cleaning done by contractors approved by Dubai Municipality.
What you can hold us to
- We test first and give you the readings in writing.
- Every quote has one option to buy, one alternative and, where it is true, a “do nothing” option.
- We name the standard for the exact model (NSF/ANSI 42, 53, 58 or 177 as it applies), not a logo on a brochure.
- Prices are in AED and include cartridge costs, because a cheap unit with expensive cartridges is not cheap.
- We do not claim a filter cures hair loss or eczema, “detoxes” you, or that Dubai tap water is unsafe in order to sell.
- We do not run fake reviews or dirty-cup demonstrations.
- We do not clean tanks. If your tank is the problem we say so and point you to a Dubai Municipality-approved contractor.
A cup that turns brown with a gadget in it proves nothing about your water. Ask for a measured before-and-after instead.
How we make money
We sell filters, installation, replacement cartridges and maintenance plans. That is a conflict of interest, so we say it plainly. If your tap water tests fine and your building keeps up with its tank cleaning, we will tell you a filter is optional and leave it there.
What we measure, and what we don’t
Meter readings are useful. They are not a laboratory report, and we keep the two apart.

For compliance, a health concern or a dispute with your landlord, use an independent laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025. In the UAE that accreditation is issued by EIAC, and it is the standard Dubai Municipality’s guideline sets for building water tests. We will help you read the report.
Built around UAE buildings, not a template
Water problems here are building problems. A tower on shared rooftop tanks, an older low-rise with ageing internal pipework and a villa with its own tank are three different jobs, even when they are a few kilometres apart. Summer heat warms exposed tanks and pipes, and a flat left empty over the holidays has water standing in its pipes for weeks.

About Hydriya: common questions
Who is Hydriya?
Hydriya supplies, installs and services water filters and purifiers in the UAE, and tests your water before recommending anything. Our licence and company details are in the table at the top of this page.
Do you clean water tanks?
No. Dubai Municipality requires tank cleaning to be done by approved contractors, and we do not recommend DIY chlorine treatment of drinking-water tanks. If your tank is the problem, we will say so.
Are your test readings certified lab results?
No. They are meter and test-kit readings that guide our advice. For certified results, use a laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025.
Will you tell me if I do not need a filter?
Yes. If your water tests fine and your building is up to date on tank cleaning, a filter may be optional, and we will say that.
How does Hydriya make money?
By selling filters, installation, cartridges and maintenance plans. We disclose that so you can weigh our advice accordingly.
